Apologize to write in English, but I found only this forum active enough.
I'm very satisfied for the stability of the Tomato by Shibby v1.28 in my remote location home automation site. FW is from beginning of year 2013 running in Netgear WNL3500Lv2. The remote site connects to internet through Huawei E173 3G modem. Normally this connection is established correctly, but sometimes not. I have tried to isolate the problem and I have come to a conclusion that perhaps it is something in combination of the operator (TeliaSonera in Finland) and the FW itself. When the mobile operator site has been unreceivable for some reason, the FW tries indefinetily establish a new connection without any success. This can be seen on Tomato by Shibby GUI that connection status is connecting ... and the 3G modem led is flashing bright blue meaning the 3G network is available but connection is not active. In this phase only way to establish a connection is to power down the Netgear router, turn on it again and wait until connection is established. Because the remote site is difficult to visit I'm wondering first if there is a work around solution in FW which could force reset to 3G modem and make the connection establish again ?
Unfortunately I can't be more exact about the FW because the remote site is down now and needs a visit. I'm planning before next, if I get some help in this forum, something I could try to do when I get the site up again.
thanks in advance for any hint.
